Vacation, next stop IDLEWILD PARK

Idlewild Park...an amusement park that I went to every year growing up.  The park opened up at 10:30, and thats when we got there...except..........the only thing open until 11:30 was Story Book Forest, the big kids had to suffer through walking through the Nursary Rhymes. LOL

The Crooked old man's house....there was a crooked old man who lived in a crooked old house...(don't remember the rest)  Alex (in white) bending back to fit through the short door.  Adrien (in orange).

We did not plan on Malia (or us) going swimming.. she wanted in and cousin Deana took off Malia clothes and let her play in her diaper.

In line for a roller coaster.  And that is what it is called "roller coaster". .... Funny too...Cause it is an old one and Adrien and Alex got off and said you don't have to wear a seat belt on that one.  It did not go real fast.

While waiting in line for the WILD MOUSE ride (we waited 1 1/2 hours), the kids got a little bored...so they came up with their own fun.  Alex hugging Adrien...well call it what you want. LOL

OK now this pic is them being funny.  The tree behind them also had alot of gum stuck to it and they were daring each other to touch it.  UGH... they wanted to pass the GUM TOUCH (like cheese touch from Diary of A Wimpy Kid movie).  No, they did not touch it.  LOL.  I think the teens behind us were very amused by them.

AWWW.... What a great pic........my favorite pic out of all of them.  Just wish Nic had been with us for it.  He does not ride roller coasters, and funny enough he ended up riding it later after he watched it for a while.  I wish I got a pic of the WILD MOUSE ride.  Its a roller coaster, but it is kind of like different in the fact it has alot of turns, instead of up and down.

We walked through Confussion Hill where 60 miners lived.  There was an explosion and the house was crooked and water flowed up hill.  It was a house the kids walked through with illusions.  Adrien volunteered and was our tour guide named Abner.  There was a story about the 60 miners who lived in the house.  Very funny, and it was always my favorite thing to do at Idlewild.

While the older kids swam, we took Malia to Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, and she got to ride on the trolley thru the neighborhood.  She enjoyed it and laughed the whole time.

I think they all had a great time, cause they wanted to go back again.
