Two days ago, Megan got her top braces. She chose pink as the color. She will get her bottom braces in about 6 months. They told her it would be 2 years with them on. She is adjusting well, but the 2nd day was rough and she was in a lot of pain.
Megan has started cheer practices and made the school softball team. Nic is playing JFL (Junior Football League) and is on offense and is a kicker. Both are having a great time.
So far I have lost 20 pounds and I am keeping my blood sugar numbers almost normal. I go back to the doctor next week for tests.
It has become so hard around our house to figure out what to prepare for meals lately. With my diabetes, Jason not being able to tolerate dairy and Megan with limits for her braces, meals are tuff.

1st Day of School 2013
Megan's first day of 8th grade, Nic's first day of 6th grade and Malia will be starting preschool on Monday.
